Jennifer’s Bath & Body Works

Personal Branding Project Exercise

I’ve spent a lot more time and money in soap stores than I care to admit. The sights! The smells! The label designs! I love it all. So, just for fun, I decided to combine my love for soap label design with one of my favorite girl power horror movies, Jennifer’s Body. Enjoy!

The logo for this product was inspired by the friendship bracelet the girls wear, since their relationship is the main crux of the film. Plus, it’s cute!

I used joyously chubby font Decoy for the main labels, Learning Curve as callout text, and Museo Sans Rounded for body text!

The color palette is inspired by Jennifer’s famous heart hoodie costume!

I love puns, so of course Jennifer’s Body Soap was one pun I just had to make! All the other soap products for this project are direct references to quotes, locations, and characters from the movie. The soap labels are designed in both vertical and square versions, in the case of soap bottles vs soap bars, and there is also a circular mark version of the logo, to add a little stamp. Hearts of course dominate everything else, for Jennifer! Somehow I feel like she would love to shop here (me too)!

I had such a blast designing these products, because I got to put pink, hearts, and horror all over it! I actually got a lot of comments asking me if these were real when I first shared them, which was so flattering! And hilarious. I can only dream!

I’d also like to add that this is just a parody of the very real Bath & Body Works, and in no way whatsoever did I make any money off of making this. It’s just for fun!

Who knew designing soap labels could be this much fun? To quote Jennifer herself, “You’re lime green jello and you don’t even know it!”
